Bina-Istra announced the results of the Student Innovation Contest 2018, in which 48 student teams from Pula, Rijeka and Zagreb participated. The contest was attended by students from the University of Rijeka, the Rijeka Faculty of Civil Engineering, Rijeka University of Applied Sciences, Zagreb School of Economics and Management, Faculty of Civil Engineering in Zagreb and Faculty of Transport Sciences in Zagreb.
Of all competing teams, only 11 went to the second (final) round, of which two were from ZSEM. The team whose representative was our student Marko Tolić won the first prize with the project “System of rewarding and penalizing to motivate users to stay within the speed limit”. The other team that took part in the final round was that of Josip Hadzic with the “XY Project”.
In the finale, the selected student teams had 15 minutes to present their project idea to the Bina-Istra Selection Commission and convince the jury of their idea (based on previously defined criteria). Bina-Istra recognized the quality and innovation of the Marko Tolić’s project, and decided to award him and his team with a prize in the amount of 15.000,00 kn.
We congratulate all the finalists, especially the winning team from ZSEM!
