Siniša Krajnović, Ph.D. is a member of the Program Council of the Zagreb School of Economics and Management and gained his business experience at Ericsson and McKinsey & Company. He built his career in China, Japan, Ireland and Hungary, thus gaining international experience in management. Siniša Krajnović’s guest lecture will be held in the HKS auditorium on May 3 starting at 11 a.m. on the topic “On the cusp of a new era?”.
Ph.D. Siniša Krajnović graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb in 1993, received his master’s degree in 1997, and received his doctorate in 2007. He completed postgraduate studies in business management in 1996 at the University of Zagreb, and in 2002 at the University of Cranfield, UK.
From 1994 to 2022, he was employed by the company Ericsson / Ericsson Nikola Tesla. He has more than ten years of managerial experience in Croatia and abroad. From 2000 to 2003, he lived and worked in Ireland, where he was the director of Ericsson’s research and development center in Dublin (600 experts), and then the director of human resources. From 2004 to 2007, he was a member of the management team of Ericsson Nikola Tesla. From 2007 to 2010, he lived and worked in Japan, where he held the position of vice president of Ericsson Japan and Ericsson’s Northeast Asia business unit. From 2010 to 2011, he was the vice president of Ericsson Hungary and the general director of Ericsson’s research and development center in Budapest. The research and development center has more than 1,100 experts, including approximately 100 PhDs. In the summer of 2011, he left Budapest for Stockholm, where, as one of the vice presidents of Ericsson, he was responsible for a dozen research and development centers around the world and about 5,000 highly educated experts. From 2018, he became a member of the board of directors of Ericsson in China, where he performed his duties until 2022, when he moved to McKinsey & Company and became a senior advisor and partner of the company.
Since 2004, he has been an associate of the Zagreb School of Economics and Management. He teaches the courses Management, Management of Production Operations and Project Management at the four-year professional study, and the courses Project Management, Management of Production Operations and Strategic Management at the specialist graduate study. He is the academic leader of the General MBA course at the specialist graduate study. In 2011, he was elected to the title teaching position of university professor.
