Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM) and Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) during a significant signing ceremony held on the ZSEM campus in Zagreb on June 20, 2023. This ceremony marks an important milestone in the collaboration between these two prestigious institutions. Tsinghua is ranked No.1 in Asia.
The MOU was officially signed by Dr. Mato Njavro, the Dean of ZSEM, and Dr. Bai Chong’En, the Dean of Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management. The agreement aims to consolidate and strengthen the cooperation between the two institutions, with a particular focus on promoting student exchange programs and research collaborations.
Dean Bai Chong’En of Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management said, ” Tsinghua University attaches great importance to students’ international competence and the cultivation of their global perspectives, as this enables them to better understand the world. Today’s signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Zagreb School of Economics and Management will contribute to the comprehensive development of students and enhance their ability to contribute to the development of China and the world.”.
Dean Mato Njavro emphasized the importance of this partnership, he said” Today is a very important day for the Zagreb School of Economics and Management. With China’s increasing national strength and growing influence, Croatia needs to understand China more, and Europe also needs to have a better understanding of China. The memorandum of understanding signed with Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management is a significant step in that direction. Croatians have a very positive impression of China and hope to further deepen cooperation with Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management and other Chinese universities in the future.”.
The signing ceremony was attended by Đuro Njavro, Zoran Barac, Maja Martinovic, Sinisa Krajnovic, Davor Luksic and others, who witnessed this historic moment.
Following the signing ceremony, Dean Bai Chong’En was invited to attend the 2023 graduation ceremony of Zagreb School of Economics and Management, further demonstrating the friendly and harmonious relationship between the two schools.
