When a company has so much influence on the society as it is the case with Hrvatska elektroprivreda, Croatia’s national energy company, and when the community strongly influences HEP’s business in many ways, there are numerous contact areas where partnerships on projects that enhance quality of life develop.
For more than 20 years, HEP has awarded more than 700 students with the “I have a wire!” award, which recognizes primary and secondary school students who had top performances at state competitions in mathemathics, physics and electrical engineering.
In cooperation with the radio station Narodni radio, HEP has launched a national “For our little geniuses” initiative in 2015 through which it had donated a total of 150 new computers to 42 elementary schools throughout Croatia over the course of 4 cycles of the initiative.
Also, on the basis of the signed agreements, HEP cooperates with several Croatian higher education institutions, while over the last ten years it has awarded more than a hundred students.
