Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZŠEM), the leading business school in Croatia, is firmly internationally positioned, and E.ON Hrvatska d.o.o. (E.ON), an energy company that leads the green energy transition of the Croatian market with its solutions, concluded a business cooperation agreement. This opens up the possibility of broader cooperation on joint projects.
The contract was signed by Ph.D. Mato Njavro, dean and Ph.D. Zoran Barac, director, and from the E.ON side, Mr. Ashkan Hosseini, member of the Management Board and executive director of finance, and Mr. Božidar Đurković, director of finance and procurator. This contract opens academic cooperation, planned through solving real business cases, encouraging students to choose the topics of final and graduate theses related to the area of interest of the company E.ON, professional practice, and student competitions. ZŠEM will support E.ON as a company leading the green energy transition in Croatia at student events.
Dean of ZŠEM, Ph.D. Mato Njavro said: We welcome the proactive approach of E.ON and the desire to be involved in shaping future professionals in the market. Direct contact of students with experts from the business world and transfer of knowledge from modern business practice, especially the latest technological achievements in energy and sustainability, are significant for students. Through professional internships and practical experience working in a company, students, in addition to acquiring knowledge, skills, and values during their studies, become more competitive in the labor market.
Member of the Management Board and Executive Director of E.ON Finance, Mr. Ashkan Hosseini, said on that occasion: We are looking forward to cooperation with ZŠEM, which we recognize as an agile institution ready to respond quickly to the needs of the labor market. This is E.ON’s first collaboration in connection with an academic institution. We expect good cooperation with ZŠEM. We are convinced that both parties will have the expected benefits and achieve their goals.
By signing this contract, ZŠEM further strengthened its cooperation with the business community, one of its key stakeholders.
